Durham miners gala will be on Saturday 11 July 2015.

The main assembly point is the city centre Market Place and bands and banners start to march from there to the Racecourse from about 8.30 am. Other assembly points are the Miners’ HQ at Red Hill near the railway station and the New Inn on the west of the city.
Saturday, April 25, 2015 - 12:00 Agecroft Memorial Day Service

Agecroft memorial day service will be held at the the former Agecroft colliery pit entrance. On the 25 April 2015, The service shall begin at 12 O'clock.

Saturday, April 11, 2015 - 11:00 Fundraiser Moston miners. All proceeds will go to building a memorial garden at the former Moston pit site, to commemorate all those who worked and died there.Entrance on the day will be by donation. During the day: Mining films will be shown in the small cinema, An exhibition of mining memorabilia, Bouncy castle and art workshops for children. Food and drink available in the cafe all day. Evening events will consist of: Social to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the end of the great miners strike of 1984-1985 Bands, music, poetry and speeches Bar and food available Please come along and support this worthy cause. Kellingley coal mines closure will bring to an end the once mighty coal industry, which powered the industrial revolution which gave us all the standard of living we enjoy today. Agecroft colleiry the Great miners strike exhibition opens Tuesday the 13th of january at 2pm. Taking place at the working class movement library Salford. The exhibition will run until mid march times open Wednsday 1pm to 5pm and Friday 1pm to 5pm.

The Irwell valley mining project will be attending the Salford local history day, The event will take place at St Augustine's school on Bolton Rd, Swinton. We will be joining other local history groups to celebrate our rich industrial heritage, There will be a series of stalls and exhibitions 11am to 5pm.
